I've played like 40 games of affo+norwegians and I still don't get how there is nothing to even out first player advantage. Especially in a 3p game, I struggle to find equally viable paths to the obvious whaling or pillaging the first two players go for. Sheep seems semi-viable. What rough alternate opener is there for the first turn? Everything else out there only ever felt a bit mediocre if I didn't have starting jobs to exploit
