There's a shitload of BL with kemonomimi. It's a common complaint that series advertise being monsterboy stuff and then it's just a regular dude with a tail or ears, and he doesn't even keep them most of the time because he's "hiding from humans" or some shit.
Then there's merchandising for any series with male cast. For example Link Click has a whole series of merch where the MCs have animal ears and tails despite just being dudes normally. Bungo Stray Dogs and Tokyo Revengers had a ton too that flooded AmiAmi's frontpage. There's even a keyring/badge line where they draw anime boys from different series with cat ears and tails. Maybe it's more expected as an optional fanservice bonus than a canon thing?
