Indeed and unlike Colt they can't just fall back on something iconic like Anacondas and Pythons and churn out small batches of them at the end of each year plus the Internet wasn't as big back then when they had to take the bankruptcy pill you still had some die hard Colt fans that weren't laughing stocks because that was usually just innocent ignorance and not brand loyalty.
