No it doesn't. Here's footage from just now of the shield being broken by roughly 6 shots from one leviathan (off screen and just before the clip, spread out over two volleys) and then another volley from the leviathan in the clip. The volley from the 2nd leviathan happened four-five seconds after the shots from the first one, so it should even have healed most of that damage from the first volley.
Thoughts?
