Like someone said, they made the somnium labyrinth event like that (which is part of the story), but it didn't make much of a difference. The characters stay on field attacking and the forte makes them use their liberation, and it had the combined attack. The problem is mostly that playing one character only is too restrictive, plus too much stuff on-sceen, and they couldn't find a way to evolve it (the current film event is basically the same but the characters stay outside the field and has elements of the IR mode, and it was also a failure).
