E1 is one of the best JRPGs to have ever been made.
E2 is one of the worst JRPGs to have ever been made
Pied Piper has a lot of lore on Ziggy since he's the main character of the game, but it's JP only and was only ever released for cellphones.
E3 is a return to form, but the ramifications of how fucking bad E2 was are definitely noticeable.
E4, E5, and E6 do not exist because Bamco is full of stupid fucking idiots and they kneecapped Monolith Soft after E1, firing damn near the entire staff and replacing them with a B team. The only reason E3 turned out better than E2 was because they realized how much they fucked up and brought back as many people as they could.
I will never let my grudge toward Bamco die after what they did to Xenosaga.
