yeah, but if the chuuni exams were that awful, then it wouldn't be entertaining. Frieren isn't a comedy show per se; the only way to make that enjoyable would be to turn it into SoL comedy.
it's a drama, so the exams need to be impactful and have stakes. Which they do; people die. Just no one important.
The scene I'm referenced is when Fern is asking Frieren if she has her certification, and Frieren is complaining about the bureaucrats and not having her credentials up to date. It resonated with me and probably others who have to go through these things just to do their work.
