And there would have been plenty of room for the dragon siblings to be little shits and squabble over petty borders between their assigned lands. Shit, GW could have had a story about the Dragon Emperor disappearing, either out of the country of lost in his contemplations like a Slann, for a time and the dragon kids could have formed up their own factions and gone through a Romance of the Three Kingdoms style massive civil war with larger-than-life heroes and villains and betrayals and shifting alliances.
