The game used to have TTS speech in the demo but the anti-AI fervor was really starting around this time and they bullied the dev into removing them but they claimed that "voice-acting wasn't intended anyway" to save face but that's a total fucking lie because his one in-game waifu (pic related) still has a voice.
The bigger issue is that it's basically impossible to follow the story as many scenes have groups of people talking with no indication of who is talking currently OR you're in a life and death dogfight in space the text is tiny and has no backdrop and in game timers he added to options menu literally dont fucking work.
