There was also a (wait for it.) pedophile ring operating in Atlanta at that time, and some of the victims were seen with known pedophiles shortly before their deaths. There was also information suggesting the involvement of the Ku Klux Klan, CIA or FBI, and possibly the Center for Disease Control, with allegations several of the victims had been infected with AIDs before their deaths and their bodies taken by the Center afterward. George H.W. Bush flew to Atlanta to check in on the investigation.
Atlanta was also home to homicidal "porn king" Mike Thevis, who was connected to Wayne Williams - the man arrested in connection with the Atlanta murders. Thevis appears to have been a frontman for a hidden deep network in organized crime, business circles, and U.S. intelligence agencies.
