My views on human nature are a mixture of good and bad because the obvious truth is that they're a mixture of good and bad (though the bad is prominent enough to have made me more misanthropic over the years). Anyone who says that humanity is nothing but bad are probably blinded by their pain, because the fact that there's many good people out there is something that's very visible and easily observable. There's certainly a great deal of bad, though - misanthropes have a lot to back up their feelings and anyone who slaps them on the wrist and calls them a bitter loser is unfairly invalidating a valid perspective.

So with all that said, no, saying that people are 'all out to hurt you' is too paranoid schizophrenic even for me, and I'm more paranoid than the average person. People have a low tolerance for those who exhibit traits they dislike (however benign or trivial) and will often be unfairly bloodthirsty towards anyone who triggers them for whatever reason, but that's not the same thing as 'always being out to hurt you.' People often want to hurt others who don't deserve it, but they don't want to hurt all people at all times.

An aside, people are somewhat impressionistic and, in some cases, want to follow the tribe when they're doing both good and bad. The latter is obvious enough, bullying and the like, but sometimes people join in when the tribe is doing good - like the story of a high school kid bringing his mom to the high school prom because she missed out on hers years before. He was given widespread support from his classmates (probably a popular kid, but still). Some of the students would have offered their support no matter what the general consensus was; others had modifiable opinions. If the boy had been bullied, they would have bullied him as well because he was deemed to deserve it. Since the group response was pro-social, they joined in with that. They just want to be a part of the group's energy, whether destructive or not.
