Nope it's great.
It's just more difficult, with less tips, and the reels are harder to rewatch (a shame because the soundtrack when watching them are fabulous).
It really complete the stories with a second type of alien race that's very fitting for the "dark forest" theory.

Actually it fit so well and not just the number of eyes that I believe they knew they had already planned it.
