People get upset when they put effort int learning something and then the developers make a needed change. Then that crowd that learned the thing gets upset, because it removes that aspect. There was a similar situation in SC2 when developers wanted to automate queen injects for zerg and there was an uproar of players (only Zerg players) that were against it, because it was a hard skill they acquired over time with practice. When people say a job was ruined, like EW MNK, they just mean it's a good chance and only the few that put up with it are now upset that things change for the better.
