Follow a guide, set a goal, fail achieving it, set another goal, edit your flow, become better, set another goal, fail at it, learn things, become better until you feel that you don't need more of it right now, then you feel another itch to do even better and repeat.
Works for pretty much everything out there.
> cooking
download a guide for layer cakes online, fuck up three layers, figure out what exactly causes that (too much oil), the rest comes out nice, fuck up whipped cream (the blender is whipping it too hard and sends it flying around the room), think of a solution, solve it by whipping it in a bathtub, make a pretty good layer cake with the rest
> making funny images online
download paint.net, learn what layers are, fuck around, shit out an absolutely terrible meme, get another idea, fuck around more, learn what tools and contrast are, shit another one, learn a bit more, make an actually good one, want to do another one, download OCR tools/more fonts, do better
> writing academic articles
consult with the advisor, make an absolutely dogshit coursework, edit in accordance with their wishes, do better, shit another, do better, shit another, repeat enough until you're intuitive at writing good and reasonable papers to be eligible for an academic scholarship
> 3D modeling
download Blender, fuck around, "i don't know what anything here means", watch a couple of videos, set a goal, make a simple model, "fuck i need to know more", do a short (7 hours long) course, "alright maybe more", do another (13 hours long) course, set a goal, achieve things much faster
Pretty much all of it relies on having someone with a fresh eye on your bullshit and an ability to learn from your mistakes. People work at factories and avoid accidents after bruising themselves because they know now what causes the bruise and someone yelled at them. You ARE smart enough to be a factory worker and you DID FINISH school with passing grades, so you can do pretty much anything.
