well the awkward zoom-in on the cracked glass was obviously a choice, to emphasize -hey! there's something going on here!- and she (they? lol) didn't actually "touch" the crystal, either, but the cracked glass was meant to imply THAT's why Anakin's didn't change (later Palpatine must have told, him about it or... whatever) the GLASS was protecting it... but not his one... because we showed the glass was cracked! whoa! aren't we soooo clever!!!!!
