Monster to me is far more about mythology than actual monstrousness. Rather it's the myth that makes the monster and rarely the other way around. There's a lot of small design details and references in the various alien designs which I like. The vast majority of old monsters are just hyped up animals or human animal hybrids. Also I feel like there's a standard for dissimilar to humans that you're holding things too that is ultimately arbitrary and quite subjective. She's got digitgrade feet, a massive tail, and various other inhuman features you can only really see when she's naked.
