I think the grey NKGB uniforms that they had to give up in exchange to army general equivalent ranks were pretty cool. It's a nice cold sterile grey contrasted with warm gold and deep blue highlights.
Also, the collar piping on an open-collar jacket continuing around the lapels and all the way down to the placket is pretty unique.
