>>17789201 Would you like to give some examples? I'm genuinely interested. I think the grey NKGB uniforms that they had to give up in exchange to army general equivalent ranks were pretty cool. It's a nice cold sterile grey contrasted with warm gold and deep blue highlights. Also, the collar piping on an open-collar jacket continuing around the lapels and all the way down to the placket is pretty unique.
>>17789221 Problem is, Russia didn't consistently have handsome uniforms, like sure some elite units did, but for the most part their uniforms looked like something hobbled together from thrift stores and dyed brown. America is pure utility therefore ugly, Brits were cheap fucks so they had ugly uniforms. French was actually ok.
>>17789335 OP here, you got exactly what I mean. Germany is the only one who dresses fitting for an ancient european hegemon. They take it seriously. Other powers were like: Whatever. Say what you want about the Nazis, but they didn't just claim to be superior. They actually tried to live it. And I have respect for that.
>>17789335 The drab "here's a sack for you to wear, now go die for your king" uniforms made a great base to be decorated with colourful and even elaborate unit insignia, though.
