6090>5090 performance upfilt being that low is unlikely, unless nYidia intends to ressurect Titan cards as an additional tier above xx90. They indeed have to gimp new gen cards slightly in order to "reserve" some performance for super/ti/ti super cards and maintain 1-year production cycle.
But node shrink from 5nm to 2nm alone will result in absolutely MASSIVE EPIC gains, both in performance uplift and power consumption efficiency. Also new gen (most likely) will have vram with way better specs, because current gddr7 modules on blackwell cards only have 28 gbps data transfer rate, which is rock bottom for gddr7.
it's not unreasonable to expect 6070ti being very close or equal to 5090, with way better power efficiency and lower price (and with less vram, of course). Everything points towards 60xx gen being new 10xx in terms of generational uplift of performance.
Blackwell is the only gen in recent history when node shrink didn't really happen that's why it IS the worst nvidia gen in recent history.

more like they will cuck out again in the last moment
>umm, sowwy guys we ACKshually decided to not compete with nvidia in top segment again, here's your 10700xt with non-existant msrp, hehe lmoa
it's very AyyMD-ish, just like them cancelling their events and scapping everything in panic minutes after jensen enters the stage and starts talking.
Not really their fault though, one cannot easily compete against the most valuable company in the world.
