Eh, I disagree and presumably a lot of American audiences are with me here. The costumes and sets in Aquaman look overdesigned--again very much like a gacha game--and there's so much CGI that none of the actors look like they belong in the scenes. Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest and At World's End are more pleasing ocean-centric blockbusters to my eye.
Superman had lots of bold color as well but--aside from the antimatter river scene--has a much more classic, pop-art look. The movie is shot to emphasize its colorful costumes rather than smearing them with water filters.
