Everyone in this game is terrified of the future. Kris is scared that one day they're going to be an adult, and go out into the world, being without Asriel, or mom & dad, and eventually become them. Susie is scared that this good thing that's happened to her, for the first time in her life, is going to collapse like it always does (and at the end of Ch4 she probably thinks she's going to die, which makes the image in >>530776678 all the more depressing).
