Has that always been there or was that introduced in for the Series 80? The disconnector was always there so it must have been the momentum of the "free float" firing pin that made the original design drop unsafe. The toggle and locking lug design seems like something you can get away with a relatively low pressure cartridge as .45 ACP especially considering turn of the century smokeless powder back then but I imagine contemporary models chambered in 10x25 are beefed up in the frame and locking surfaces
