10 years after MGSV and playing DS1 for the first time recently, it comes across to me that he makes his games to just show off cool shit and the plot and setting comes second to that. I know people jerk him off about the story in his games but after MGS4 and starting from PW, it really does feel that way. His "muh Hollywood" obsession is translated more into getting actors into his games and making them do wacky stuff, and the cinematography of the games instead of anything with the plot and characters themselves.
