Three eateries in Orel, Russia have been shut down after authorities discovered they were making shawarma using cat and dog meat.

To conceal the taste, the meat was reportedly mixed with spoiled chicken and pork. The owners have been identified as foreign nationals from Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
