Although quite famous aircraft but so tricky to master though...
The F-104 was also a beautifull design but all in all, it's just a Jet engine with enough wing with razor sharp leading edge to be at minimum maneuverable ^^'

Kust jocking but yeah we had kept more aircraft manufacturer than you after the war so that mainly why we had a lot of different airframes...
But the enforcing of US military products onto Euro country they "helped" liberating, enforcing Nato bases etc was something not really awaited from a supposed "ally"... Especially given the way it developp afterwards too...
Thanks to the General De Gaulle for booting them out of France, but they are trying to come back with all their might albeit remaining stealthy to not prompt local population backlash... ie ITAR stuffs etc...
