Heinrich Himmler's summary of meeting with Swiss politician, Jean-Marie Musy, on the subject of Jewish immigration and Palestine.
>I made my position clear to him once again. We assign Jews to work and, of course, this includes hard jobs such as road building, canal construction and mining, where they have a high mortality rate. Since discussions on improving the lot of Jews have been underway, they have been employed in normal jobs, but it goes without saying that they must, like all Germans, work in the armaments industry. Our point of view on the Jewish question is as follows: we are in no way interested in America's or England's position on the Jews. What's clear is that we don't want them in Germany and in the German sphere of life because of the decades of experience after the [First] World War, and we won't engage in any discussion about it. If America wants to take them, we'll welcome it. But it must be ruled out - and we must be given a guarantee on this - that the Jews we let out through Switzerland will ever be driven back to Palestine. We know that the Arabs, just as much as we Germans do, refuse Jews, and we do not want to lend ourselves to such an indecency as sending new Jews to this poor people martyred by the Jews;
