Rentarou is EXTREMELY confrontational if anyone even looks at his girlfriends wrong. He regularly stalks his girlfriends to make sure they're safe when they think they're alone. He's committed several acts of violence against what I could only assume to have been the mentally deranged. He is THE 'Monster Boyfriend' and he's well-earned that title, all in the pursuit of making his girlfriends happy.

I would hope Nakamura isn't self-inserting as Rentarou because not only would that completely shatter the satirical nature of the manga, he would have to possess a Kanye-tier god complex for that to remotely make sense. If (You) are self-inserting as Rentarou, you've utterly and completely missed the point of Rentarou as a character.

He's only knowledgeable in the area of making his girlfriends the happiest they can be. It has been shown very early on just how far he will push himself to learn/do something for his girlfriend's happiness, to the point where he entirely skips sleeping and his hair falls out. That's not talent, that's simply hard work and a fanatical dedication to his girlfriends.

The mere fact I was able to type all of this out is a testament to him NOT possessing Mary Sue/Gary Stu traits. Is he the most well-written character manga has ever seen? Hell no. Is he the best-written Harem MC? From what I've personally seen, by a mile.
