Earthbound is done and over. Nintendo has no intention of ever continuing the series. Shigesato Itoi has no intention of ever continuing the series. Without Itoi, it wouldn't be an Earthbound/Mother game, it'd be Nintendo wearing it like a skinsuit.

The only way the series continues is if someone eccentric like Toby Fox, ZUN, or Tatsuki Fujimoto teams up with Nintendo to create Mother 4.
