It's oWoD, everything has a "at max/min value you become an NPC."
Yeah no that's dumb. All the corebooks imply that the Elohim were just so far beyond Mankind and that what you have now and the frailty of the mortal shell and all that jazz is exactly that. If Angels and Fallen were capped at 5 in their stats then mortal champions would have been a serious threat. I'm just calling bogus. That doesn't even fit in with the themes of the splat it's for. It's all about lost heights and regret and pale reflections of what once was.
>I was pointing out that claiming a fallen needs centuries of time to become an earthbound or requires a special type of demon to survive the transformation
I don't think I ever said the latter. The lore just states that for the most part, all the Earthound, the 666, were the strongest and most well-known and then fed and became even stronger as they fed on human Faith. Some were weaker or coincidental or were never intended to become Earthbound but escaped their Summoners, either way, they are supposed to be a primordial, alien thing. If a PC can become as strong as Belial after a week of chilling in a pottery dish then I don't care if that's "headcanon" for me to say no it takes time and effort to do that, it's better than going strictly RAW and allowing that in an afternoon after a bit of torture and murder. When mechanics contradict the theme and the lore, I say the mechanics are gay and wrong, otherwise Asmodeus is just a gigantic retard for not having max stats after being an Earthbound for so long and being one of the strongest and first to wake back up.
