Debatable how? You are directly told that Ayin is pro EGO and Carmen and him have differing opinions, of course his version of the light never had a place for distortions if it was properly released.
Ayin believes that the human form must always be held in the highest of regards, which the manifested EGOs always do, meanwhile Carmen wants you to not give in to moderation and let go of your humanity while revealing what you truly are and be ''free'', which is what the distortions are.
