I find delves to be a detriment to the game and makes gearing up a shallow, unrewarding experience. You no longer have to do mythics or raids outside of LFG for high level gear and you only need champion or hero level gear to steamroll whatever unchallenging content the game throws at you. Bashing a monster pinata each week also dilutes the gearing process. I wish Blizzard made a hardmode version of retail WoW instead of classic so I can actually feel like I earned my gear and that its actually doing something.
