What if there a social pressure and expactations for them to behave in such a way? I can imagine breadwinner women of success who would reluctantly take part in all these activities, because otherwise they would be labeled as "antisocial" (aka not willing to be molested) which would hinder their career. In the same vein, I could imagine women doing those things in a feeble attempt to maintain normalcy. Have you read "Mushi Sezaru o Enu Machi...!" / "Shunned By The Village...!" ? I could imagine a scenario like that one, where women try to acr normally, even though they all know they could fall prey to a man's advances at any point.
