On January 28th, 1999, a game was released whose impact not even its own developers could have foreseen. Today, more than 20 years later, Digimon World stands as a cult classic that has inspired dozens of creatives: artists, designers, and producers who have worked on Digimon—and of course, us. There's no doubt that both our interest for the Digimon franchise and our own game, Net Driver, would not exist without Digimon World.
Because of this, we are launching a campaign that will run until July 30th, with the goal of making Digimon World the most voted game on GOG’s Dream List. (GOG is a company that specializes in releasing official ports of old games that are no longer legally available, without DRM, aiming to preserve them and give them new life.)
Digimon World is a truly special game and deserves to be immortalized for the general public. Beyond the many tributes it receives, this isn’t about money—it’s about gathering support. Every vote and every share counts if we want to make this happen. This is the one and only chance.
