>MC build part 2:
But then I realized - may be there's some way to optimize it a bit further since Necro doesn't need majority of the usual feats that Demon and Aeon Wizards like to pick:
>Selective Metamagic
>Spell-pen focus and its Greater Version
>Allied Caster(teamwork feat for extra spellpen - Ray casters and Blasters pick it)
There's a new DLC class called Reanimator BUT.
>Can't merge books
>Not full spell progression
Basically regular Wizard gets Access to "Create Greater Undead" faster which makes this class suboptimal BUT its the prefered way of spamming skellies so its better to have someone else in your team to be a Reanimator!
So I tried Shadowcaster and I believe its the best one because
You get access to an extra Undead summon - Shade
That one is actually STRONG. There's only one entity that can damage it without magic - Undead Lord in Visitors of Morta DLC - which is by far the hardest encounter in all of Act 2 anyway BUT, Skelly spam OBLITERATES HIM none the less.
Important part here is that it can Tank, technically, as long as spell lasts because it takes zero damage OR you can buff it with anti-element spells in order to make it invulnerable to Magic as well. This allows you to perform the following:
>Have a "Vanish" and "Expeditious Retreat" spells prepared
>Find Enemy room with enemies NOT being invul to leveldraing(for instance, even Nabasu can be leveldrained because its a Demon, not Undead)
>Cast Retreat
>Summon shade
>Start Fight
>Run a bit away until agro switches to Shade
>Cast Vanish and get back close
>Everyone is circulating around your Shade
>Spam Haunting Mists in there
>They die of leveldrain, Shade doesn't care because its Undead(Invul to Leveldrain)
This allows you ti win any encounter until you finally be able to cast Lesser Raise Undead! Perfect Class because:
>You retain Diviner spec and book progression
>You pay for it with Feats and a Hare which can be compensated(I'll explain later how)

The role of a commander (IRL and in this game) is to stay out of the fight, ensuring his body is not pumped full of adrenaline and in fight or flight mode so that he may think calmly and rationally about what's going on and use that clarity of mind to direct the others who are not able to think clearly due to being in a life or death situation.
