IMO you NEED to be a fullcaster at the very least. Abjuration school specialist to memorize as many dispell magic greater as physically possible and then you just go around dispellin some noobs playing Vivisectionists.

Sword of Faith is a buff, doesn't count. And there really was only 3 of them (one locked behind heretic path) on release. It was a big complaint people had so they added tonnes more in one of later updates. Now there's a whole range of various force swords

Solomone recruitment was fine later in the act. It's already hard to move from Footfall due to all those events anyway. Him contacting you after doing one planet in act 2 encouraged doing different planet order in new playthroughs as well.

aoe buffs are cute and all but isn't tactician really the better option for an officer rather than overseer? Not everyone is going to be under the skull, and some characters don't really benefit from some buffs. Meanwhile just slapping Inspire on Argenta or Kibellah or whatever damage dealer is just obviously strong and wins the game.

It's not as bad as it sounds, it's just that: if you're playing a class that loses extra feats you'd want to go human to compensate. Cruomancer gets regular Raise Dead(not lesser) at level 5 so she's technically having an easiest time with ACT1 but its nothing since you have access to Haunting Mists which kills things in stealth. Wizards are having the easiest time with Unfair Act1 and Maze and the biggest problem until Mythic 1 are Undead because:
- You'll need Winter's Grasp(Ice Grease) Selective which means going Lore Master
I'll explain why, I believe, going Lore master is unoptimal later.
- You can spam your own undead skellies and they will, at some point, Crit through and kill the Winery Zombies.
Still. Cruomancer gets EXTRA +2 to Accuracy of summoned undead via Blood infusion(gives +4 STR to them) so technically speaking, its better than Arcanist because you're still getting LVL2 spells(Haunting Mist) for Maze - this is very important because it allows you to pick dips for you companions more greedily at the start.

As always its the most optimal variant because you get literally all you need and lose nothing for it.
- Foretell not only allows you to DC better but also can be "switched to positive gear" and land +2(YES DIVINER IS AS EXACTLY GOOD OF A SUMMONER AS CRUOMANCER AND BROWNFURR) to accuracy of your zombies.
- You retain your initiative bonuses
- You retain book progression(unlike Arcanist)
- You retain ALL feats

Kinda like that every feat in RT seems good and you cant really fuck up building anybody

So I tried Shadowcaster and I believe its the best one because

Important part here is that it can Tank, technically, as long as spell lasts because it takes zero damage OR you can buff it with anti-element spells in order to make it invulnerable to Magic as well. This allows you to perform the following:
>Have a "Vanish" and "Expeditious Retreat" spells prepared
>Find Enemy room with enemies NOT being invul to leveldraing(for instance, even Nabasu can be leveldrained because its a Demon, not Undead)
>Cast Retreat
>Summon shade
>Start Fight
>Run a bit away until agro switches to Shade
>Cast Vanish and get back close
>Everyone is circulating around your Shade
>Spam Haunting Mists in there
>They die of leveldrain, Shade doesn't care because its Undead(Invul to Leveldrain)
This allows you ti win any encounter until you finally be able to cast Lesser Raise Undead! Perfect Class because:

>You pay for it with Feats and a Hare which can be compensated(I'll explain later how)

Yes there's actually a spell like that. It's called "Heroic Invocation" - it doesn't land bonus saves BUT it lands +4 to ACC

>Inciter's Inspired Rage(seems to be untyped but it stacks with Heroism so its not Moral)
Gives up to +4 from base at lvl16, then another +4 via reckless stance(need to instead of Lethal stance because Reckless also buffs ranged units and we will need those because we won't be able to stand close due to amount of skellies there are.
In addition, Beast Totems also buff our Natural Attacks and guess what - Shade AND Create Greater Undead are using Natural Attacks!
Then there's another up to +4 to ACC via Mythical Inspiration.
>Finally, Command Feats. Someone needs to share Outflank with everyone BUT it can't be Skald because we NEED Inciter for SNEAK ATTACKS.
Command feats stack with everything.
Obviously there's also Mythic Summons BUT You don't need that feat at Mythic 1 because you only really need it for Damage/- and Corruptor is stronger!(Skellies are immune to it, don't even need Selective/Stop Poison Communal)

After you get all the Command feats and Tanking feats you can just make her a semi-good Rapier Dual Wielder. Don't forget Improved Initiative though!
