Just gave GFM a try and holy shit - even ignoring the bloat that makes Grandi look the picture of innocence - GPs basically have free reign to do whatever they want with no repercussions and the AI just gobbles up random states in random wars while constantly white peacing event wars: the Crimean War only ever lasts a couple of months before Russia concedes, the ACW usually results in a free CSA, half the time the USA white peaces the American-Mexican War, Russia peaces out with either the Polish or Lithuanian event revolt that spends the rest of the campaign jutting into Russia. But then you look over and Germany has taken ugly chunks out of all its neighbours, Russia has blobbed into China, Hungary is free (because it's easier for the AI than actually fighting the Hungarian Revolution) and has eaten half of Romania, Greece has blobbed into Bulgaria, Italy has taken chunks out of France.
I've zoomed through 3 campaigns most of the way and another two for a few decades and I have not seen a single "normal" outcome in Europe and only one in North America. What an absolute fucking mess.
