Allow me to interject and save anyone lurking the time. Here is a summary of arguments made ITT and why you shouldn't care about them:
>X will be dead in <x> years and no new applications will work with it
We don't care. You need X more than we need you. Since all the "legacy" stuff like games and shit we've been using for decades already is all anyone cares about running. No one cares about whatever gnome is replacing notepad.exe with this year
>This is a <x> and <muh politics>
We don't care. He could be full blown communist wearing programming socks or literally Hitler. As long as the fork works no one cares.
>This guy can't into C/nocoder
We don't care. All he has to do is accept merge requests from people that can into C. He could sit there all day doing nothing and it would be better than what we had before with Red Hat controlling access to the code
>X doesn't support <feature> right now
We don't care. We've tried to add support for <feature> for years and Red Hat wouldn't let us
>Muh vaccine
We don't care. Your body your choice. Take the death shot if you want to.
>He said mean things on mailing list
We don't care. Most people on LKML are retards anyway.
>I use <x> on my computer
We don't care. If you want to install malware and fap to tranny porn in whatever chrome fork you're using go right ahead. You can have your half working shitware and we can have ours. That's the joy of freedom
>This fork will go nowhere
We don't care. Multiple people have already forked X already or maintained patch sets. If this idiot doesn't do a good job we'll fork again.
>No one will package this
We don't care. We know how to use a compiler. Also multiple distros are always packaging it
>X isn't secure
We don't care. I've been running "secure" X for years already. It's certainly secure on my main OS out of the box already.
Find something better to do with your time. This is pathetic.
