The more i read discussions about the endings the more i start to hate the story and what the writers ended up going with.

Its obvious that they wanted to shove a message down people's throats.

The people who love it they have opinions that are a variation of "its time to beat addiction" ; "escapism bad" ; "it's like drugs" ; "time to log off VR" etc. This is what is going to be touted as masterclass of writing for foreseeable future.
