Absolutely. The Citadel in particular has Nihei written all over it. I'd argue that Portal 2 is more reminiscent of BLAME! than 1. The ridiculously long chute you fall through to reach old Aperture screams BLAME!, as does pretty much any part of the game where you're outside the test chambers or being ferried around on a platform by Wheatley, and you get to see the true scale of the dilapidated facility.

I made no mention of the manga's quality or my opinion of it in that quote, and certainly no claims that it's the best anything. All I stated was that BLAME! wouldn't be BLAME! without the massive scale, which we both agree on.
>there's nothing that special about it other than huge vistas and massive scale
I think the art is pretty impressive. I liked the gritty sci-fi setting. It's held up really well, too. See NOW I'm sucking the manga's dick.
>you're emotional about it instead of rational
Why do I need to form a "rational" opinion over a manga? It's all subjective. I liked it because I enjoyed reading it and it wowed me. That's about as deep as it needs to go.
