Hell, I remember when Superman died in the comics in the 90's. It was a big deal. But boomers like my dad were like "so what, this shit happened all the time back in the day, he'll come back." And sure enough he did.
But superhero meets superhero and they fight is the classic superhero trope. It's almost a rule.
