I don't think it's so radical, but I do think it's economic. Women do better with the "soft skills" (i.e. schmoozing) while getting into the white-collar corporate world where there are high salaries for not much work and jump employers the moment they get a better offer. The political culture of this environment is liberal. There are a lot of men who'd be driven insane by this stuff I think.
