Forays were supposed to be content that casuals could grind with an actual attainable endgoal. There was a noticeable tension among casual players as they waited, essentially doing nothing (how often can you run expert roulette or a normal raid before you're sick of it?) while hoping that the foray would give them something to do. But that thing at the end of the foray, the Forked Tower, lacked a normal mode (or even some kind of alternative like how bozja had Castrum for anyone to complete) which the developers admitted was due to a "cost" issue. It was so shitty of them, because the whole zone is basically a low stakes zone that you can enter and leave at will, but it builds up to this coordinated endgame that one person can potentially fuck up for everyone.

DT in general has felt like a long wait for nothing if you're a casual player. I doubt you'll give a shit, but imagine this game if all you had that felt doable after work was expert roulette and some normal raids you've done a billion times already. And then when some new content finally drops, whoops! It's more raidslop. And every not-raidslop thing you could ever want, like the housing update, or the variant dungeons, or the deep dungeon, or the beastmaster, or some kind of blu update, all get forgotten about or pushed aside. Shit blows. The devs need to diversify their focus, because raiders just quit after the season ends anyway.

Yeah, but everyone has an amount of time that they're comfortable wasting, and looking at the numbers, most people aren't comfortable wasting that much time.

When I mentioned QoL in my last post, I meant shit like housing, glam quality, things like that to keep people around for reasons besides the combat loops.
