It looks like the trigger originally had a straw finish, which I find odd on a military gun. Straw finishes are just aesthetic yeah? and provide no real benefit other than looks? I could be wrong about the original finish of course, and wrong about the no benefit part. I suppose it's possible the trigger was changed out at some point, but I very much doubt it. After taking it apart I feel pretty confident it's been sitting in it's stock undisturbed ever since it was put there. Everything was perfectly fit metal to wood in the stock, to an honestly impressive degree.
