TLDR for manga:
>Webcomic gets popular so they make a manga out of it with a good artist
>It faithfully follows the webcomic with some good extras and additions
>At some point they even start adding new arcs in the manga
>For one reason or another ONE probably stops caring about the manga and minimizes his involment with it
>Manga starts doing its own thing, story goes bonkers, we get repeated redraws and even the art gradually degrades
Web comic is still ongoing whenever ONE wants to update it. The last year the updates seem to have settled down to 1 ch per 3 months though.
All in all sad to see the manga go down like this.
