IMO if you want a representative example of the M1911 as used in WW1 and unless the sights can be easily reversed then “no”. Original M1911s can have a relatively short lifespan due to the total lack of hardening to either frame or slide and so they aren’t great for shooters unless you handload some reduced power loads. Which might be called for anyway if you want to maximize accuracy potential. So if that’s already your jam, then go for it. I bought a repro specifically because I wanted to shoot full power .45ACP without worrying about damaging my original.
