Hip thrusts result in quite a bit of spinal erector stimulation. The problem with hip thrusts is that it doesn't take very long before you get so strong that you NEED to get a belt hip thrust machine. Reverse hyperextension works your spinal erectors a bit less compared to back extension, but it works your hamstrings out quite a bit. That hip extension machine, as shown in that video, seems to be the best possible machine for isolating the glutes, specifically the glute max. Your legs are bent, so you're not working out your hamstrings to any significant degree, and similarly to a leg press, you're not really going to be working out your spinal erectors just by moving your legs forward like that while laying down. I would personally love to own a machine like that.

I want thick thighs, anon. I just feel like I don't train my glute max, in particular, hard enough. Training side glutes is easy with hip abduction.
