I'd rather argue that femdom is a spectrum with a large overlap with vanilla, ranging from "the woman takes most of the initiative in an otherwise normal relationship" to "leather clad dominatrix has a harem she lines up so she can stomp on their balls with her high heels on the way to her (human) toilet and back". If a wife gets a promotion and starts outearning her husband, meaning he in turn has to take care of more household tasks, is that femdom or just a functional marriage adjusting to changing circumstances? Or both?
