I like
-fuel costs, landing fees, maintenance costs
-extra maintenance costs for mishandling the plane, like hard landings
-costs for renting/buying new planes
-costs even when you're roleplaying a personal flight and not actually on a "job"
-generating a list of various types of jobs to choose from, which have money values to earn money for the above stuff
-random events on said jobs like "oh no a passenger is sick, change plans to land at a closer airport instead for bonus points"
I could do it with a spreadsheet and my own rules, but Neofly has all that packaged up for me already so I just use that
