I agree, if you use the term "extermination" in the original sense of the word meaning to drive from one's borders. Most of these people moved from Europe to other continents, and you see their populations spike there at roughly the same time. The difference can be explained as regular war casualties, such as what all other groups who were sent to concentration camps experienced.
