I'd argue that there is such a thing as people who are born with great genetics that keep them thin and Ann is seemingly one of them. She is just a normal girl though on the inside, so she's not some perfect put together model like Maki is. That's her social link, refining herself into a more sophisticated woman, not just being a boring slouch who can get pushed around by mean girls and who won't pursue her desires to become the iconic and inspiring fashion model she was born to be.
